Vice Minister Chen Xiaohua meets Namibian Minister of Agriculture, Water, and Forestry

Minister Chen Xiaohua met with Mr. John Mutorwa, Minister of Agriculture, Water, and Forestry of Namibia, in Beijing on August 3, 2015. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral agricultural cooperation.
Vice Minister Chen spoke highly of the outcomes of the bilateral agricultural cooperation. He noted that good cooperation has been conducted in the fields of technology exchanges, human resources development, agricultural trade & investment and South-South cooperation. As for future cooperation, the Vice Minister put forward the following points: first, promoting the establishment of bilateral agricultural cooperation mechanism; second, continuing the enhancement of cooperation in agricultural technology exchanges and capacity building; third, further intensifying the multilateral South-South cooperation; and fourth, boosting investment cooperation in livestock and fisheries sectors.
Minister Mutorwa fully agreed with Vice Minister Chen on his suggestions and expressed his admiration for the achievements made by China in its agricultural development through reform and opening-up. Minister Mutorwa vowed that the Namibian side is ready to collaborate with China to further promote the bilateral agricultural cooperation and exchanges, and will provide facilitation for Chinese enterprises engaged in agricultural cooperation in Namibia.
